Description:

This course will review the evolution of knowledge about brain functioning, which is key to understand writing behavior. The relationship between neuropsychology, learning and reading and writing, which are closely linked, will be shown.

We will study the functioning of the brain through the cells of the nervous system, neuronal communication and the peripheral and central nervous systems. Also, a detailed explanation of the control of writing in relation to brain function and how the neural systems of writing are integrated.

Objectives:

  • Study the relationship between neuropsychology, learning and literacy.
  • Know the bases of brain functioning.
  • Analyze writing control in relation to brain functioning.

How it works

The student will have a series of video classes where different teachers offer the content of the course. In addition, there will be a series of study and complementary materials for a complete learning.

The student must complete a series of self-assessment questionnaires to evaluate the learning of it.

If the student needs help, she will have the support of a personalized tutor who will solve any question related to learning or the development of the course.

Requirements to Pass the course

To succesfully pass the course, students are required to achieve the following minimum requirements:

  • All questionnaires must be passed.
    (Questionnaires represent 50% of the final score).
  • Final Activity must be passed.
    (Final activity represent 50% of the final score).
  • Final score must be 7/10 (or highter) to get the Certificate of Completion.
