Description:

In the course we will look at risk prediction models and strategies for risk prediction, tools for recidivism in cases of intimate partner violence, sexual violence and violent behaviors (HCR-20, SVR-20 and SARA).

We will analyze the risk assessment tools for violence in minors (ERASOR) and adults (HCR-20). We will discuss risk and protective factors and study criminal dangerousness: psychopathy and neurobiology (PCL–R, PCL:YV and derivatives).

Objectives:

  • Know how risk assessment is performed.
  • Understand how risk is managed.
  • To learn how to use different tools applied to violent behavior.

How it works

The student will have a series of video classes where different teachers offer the content of the course. In addition, there will be a series of study and complementary materials for a complete learning.

The student must complete a series of self-assessment questionnaires to evaluate the learning of it.

If the student needs help, she will have the support of a personalized tutor who will solve any question related to learning or the development of the course.

Requirements to Pass the course

To succesfully pass the course, students are required to achieve the following minimum requirements:

  • All questionnaires must be passed.
    (Questionnaires represent 50% of the final score).
  • Final Activity must be passed.
    (Final activity represent 50% of the final score).
  • Final score must be 7/10 (or highter) to get the Certificate of Completion.
