About José Miguel Mestre

José Miguel Mestre holds a PhD in Psychology and is a professor of basic processes of psychology at the University of Cadiz. He is a member of the International Society of Researchers in Emotion (ISRE), Spanish Association of Motivation and Emotion (AME) and APA.

José Miguel Mestre is also co-founder of the Emotional Intelligence Laboratory of the UCA, he has focused his studies on the relationship between cognitive and emotional processes involved in the development, adaptation and mental strength of people. He has published several articles and books on emotion regulation.

Currently José Miguel Mestre works as coordinator of the Research Institute for Sustainable Social Development in the development and research for the improvement of social functioning in people with disorders with pathological comorbidity of the affective sphere.
