Biography — Sergio Martínez Pacheco

Sergio Martínez Pacheco is a psychologist and behavioral analyst whose career bridges academic research and frontline criminal investigation. He earned his PhD in Psychology from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2017, with doctoral research on personality, aggression, and antisocial and criminal conduct.

For years he worked inside the Sección de Análisis de Conducta (SAC), the behavioral-analysis and criminal-profiling unit of Spain's National Police, applying psychological science to real casework. His published research reflects that dual vantage point: the personality traits that predict aggression and antisocial behavior, and the use of automated facial-expression recognition in criminal-behavior analysis. More recently he has examined cognitive biases and nudges in operational leadership within security contexts.

He has collaborated repeatedly with figures at the core of Evidentia's academic community, including Rafael Manuel López Pérez, working within the same behavioral-analysis and profiling tradition from which the university draws much of its faculty. At Evidentia University of Behavioral and Forensic Sciences he teaches from an applied, casework-tested perspective, connecting the theory of criminal profiling and nonverbal behavior to how those methods are used in real investigations.
