Description:

In this course we will see an introduction to basic concepts of lying. Subsequently, the most appropriate way to obtain a testimony (necessary information to be analyzed) is explained.

Once the information is obtained, we will detail how to study it by means of content analysis criteria and how to study such an important element as facial expression through Facial Expression Analysis Protocol (FEAP).

We will conclude with the latest advances in scientific research on lie detection and a review of the main existing meta-analyses in this field.

How it works

The student will have a series of video classes where different teachers offer the content of the course. In addition, there will be a series of study and complementary materials for a complete learning.

The student must complete a series of self-assessment questionnaires to evaluate the learning of it.

If the student needs help, she will have the support of a personalized tutor who will solve any question related to learning or the development of the course.

Requirements to Pass the course

To succesfully pass the course, students are required to achieve the following minimum requirements:

  • All questionnaires must be passed.
    (Questionnaires represent 50% of the final score).
  • Final Activity must be passed.
    (Final activity represent 50% of the final score).
  • Final score must be 7/10 (or highter) to get the Certificate of Completion.
