Carlos Tasso Eira de Aquino is an accomplished and dynamic executive and scholar with a PhD and two post-doctoral fellowships, possessing over 15 years of global experience in leading and transforming higher-education organizations, with a proven track record in enhancing student satisfaction and retention through innovative program development and strategic partnerships.
He is acknowledged for strategic foresight, problem-solving capabilities, and a steadfast commitment to the enhancement of education and research, having successfully managed multi-million-dollar budgets and implemented data-driven initiatives that significantly improved operational efficiency and academic quality.
Dr. Aquino accumulated achievements and recognition as Chief Academic Officer, Provost, Chief Diversity Officer, Executive Director of Continuing Education, Dean of Science and Allied Health, and Dean of Business and Technology, in institutions in the USA and abroad, with student and faculty bodies that encompassed a clear diversity of cultures.
His experience and network in the business arena transcend boundaries and include expertise in teaching, consulting and development. He has helped multiple institutions and organizations in the US and abroad to grow their programs and increase their participation and recognition in global markets. Along his career, Carlos has coordinated relationships with existing and new partners in the USA, Canada, Latin America, Europe and Africa. He is well-traveled and multilingual, a native speaker of Portuguese and fluent in English and Spanish.
Dr. Aquino is also a prolific scholar, with an academic production that includes more than 5 books and 100 publications and presentations in journals and peer-reviewed conferences. He has been keynote speaker and panelist at more than 30 events in the USA and abroad.
