Course What you study
ISM 500Technological Learning Tools Students gain a structured understanding of the virtual learning environment that supports the fully online graduate program. The course covers the Moodle platform, Google Drive, online questionnaires, forums, and collaboration tools, helping students work with the systems used throughout their studies.
DCD 501Deceit Detection I Lie detection is introduced from a strict scientific approach, beginning with core concepts and their application to testimonial credibility. The course studies content analysis tools used by psychologists and security forces in advanced countries to assess whether a testimony can be judged as credible.
PSY 510Biases and Heuristics Deep-Dive A rigorous interactive study of cognitive biases gives students deep knowledge of the more than 190 biases coded to date. Working as a team, they build a collective book of cognitive biases that serves as reference material for the rest of the master.

Students examine how cultural and identity nuances affect negotiation, preparing them to navigate cross-cultural negotiations with greater awareness of how perceptions and approaches may differ.
RSC 550Research and Scientific Communication Students are introduced to a specific vision of scientific research and its communication. The course covers bibliographic searches in scientific databases, bibliographic reference formats, APA referencing, and ways to disseminate research through conferences and scientific poster presentations.
NEG 610Negotiation Strategies Negotiation intelligence is treated as a central skill for improving negotiation outcomes. Students work on gathering, analyzing, and using information about the opponent and the negotiation context, while applying the intelligence cycle to assess strategies and performance.
NEG 615Negotiation Intelligence Negotiation Intelligence applies a five-phase Intelligence Cycle — planning, collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination — to negotiation preparation. Students work with OSINT, image and geolocation analysis, social media and corporate intelligence, and ethical elicitation techniques, all restricted to open, legal sources, to build a counterpart dossier that turns raw information into real negotiating advantage.
NEG 620Negotiation Skills Core negotiation skills are developed for use across diverse professional settings, including business, law, diplomacy, and interpersonal relationships. Interactive exercises, role-playing, and real-life case studies help students practice the abilities required to negotiate in varied contexts.

Through interactive simulations, case studies, and real-world scenarios, they apply theoretical knowledge in diverse contexts and receive personalized feedback to refine their negotiation technique.
PRO 625Indirect Personality Profiling Students study the indirect personality profiling technique developed in the Spanish Police. The course presents how this technique can be used to understand how a person is, thinks, and acts, applying that knowledge to gain a strategic advantage in interviews, interrogations, and negotiation processes.
FBA 635Persuasion and Influence Main techniques of influence and persuasion are examined in the context of negotiation and collaboration processes. Students learn how these techniques can be applied so they become a competitive advantage in situations that require handling people’s responses with advantage.
