Faculty and Researchers from Evidentia University present their work at the 1st International Congress of the Scientific Society of Behavioral Economics

The I International Congress of the Scientific Society of Behavioral Economics, “Challenges of the new behavioral society”, brought together an important group of teachers and researchers from different countries and disciplines, enthusiastic to present, discuss and reflect on the latest advances, research and applications of behavioral economics to business, public policy, finance and decision making, among others.

The meeting held in Madrid, sponsored by the Scientific Society of Behavioral Economics (SOEC), chaired by our Provost Rafael López Pérez, PhD, was attended by an important representation of Evidentia University, among whom we can mention Mr. Gonzalo Camiña, Ms. Silvia Cottone and Mr. Miguel Ángel Pérez Nieto.

The opening ceremony was led by Dr. Rosa María Martín Aranda, Vice Rector of Research of the UNED; Dr. Alberto A. Álvarez, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business of the UNED; Dr. Rafael López, President of SOCEC and Rector of Evidentia University; Dr. José Luis Calvo, Vice President of SOCEC and full professor of UNED; and the special participation of Dr. José Luis Calvo, Vice President of SOCEC and full professor of UNED. Rafael López, President of SOCEC and Rector of Evidentia University; Dr. José Luis Calvo, Vice President of SOCEC and Professor at UNED; and the special participation of Dr. Aimara Rodríguez, Rector of the Universidad Laica Vicente Rocafuerte (ULVR) of Guayaquil, Ecuador.

López PhD stated that this first international meeting is one more step in the scientific consolidation and the introduction in the academic world of this science that has demonstrated, in a few years, its value and applicability in different areas of human affairs.
