Yirsa Jiménez, PhD, culminates her research and teaching stay at the University of Valparaíso (Chile).

Yirsa Jimenez, PhD, Director of the School of Behavioral Sciences and of the Master of Science in Nonverbal and Deceptive Behavior at Evidentia University, has carried out a research and teaching stay at the University of Valparaiso during the summer months.

Invited by Héctor Berroeta, PhD, Director of the Center for Research on Territorial Vulnerabilities and Informalities (CINVIT) and of the Master in Social Psychology, Dr. Jiménez offered different seminars of orientation and methodological advice to final year students and researchers of CINVIT, who are currently developing research on the experiences and psychosocial recovery of communities that have suffered natural disasters.

On the other hand, our Director had the honor of giving the opening seminar of the academic activities at the Graduate School of Social Psychology. For the occasion she focused on Conflict Mediation in the public space.  She also gave a special workshop on Communication Skills and Nonverbal Behavior for professional practice to more than 80 students who are graduating this year as psychologists.

After an intense month of work, where she was also able to establish new cooperation ties with professors and research groups at the University of Valparaiso, Dr. Jimenez returned to her management duties at Evidentia University.
